CWE 2.0 Begins
We are completely thrilled to be sharing this post with you!
DRUMROLL PLEASE….
CWE-Missions is returning to build a second camper cabin for us this spring! (Did you follow our first CWE adventure? Find it here!)
If you’re new here, CWE-Missions stands for Christians for Worldwide Evangelism! As explained from their website, “The ministry of CWE has been established to serve and better enable local churches to fulfill the Great Commission mandate with assistance to missionaries and national pastors on the foreign fields.”
Basically, CWE partners with ministries and churches (usually overseas) to build them a church or other building they are in need of. CWE pays for 75% of the costs of that building and provides the labor to build it! Each week a new group of volunteers arrives ready to do the next phase of the project and within four weeks, the project is complete! Due to Covid, they began looking stateside for projects and we received a camper building from them in 2022.
And now, they are returning this spring to build our final camper building, helping us reach the capacity of 100-125 campers through the summer! This is the vision of WM - not to grow massive, but to keep it small and intentional!
WE ARE PUMPED FOR GOD’S PROVISION THROUGH CWE AGAIN!
We will be sharing the journey with you once again (as we did before!) because this is nothing short of seeing God in action with our own two eyes!
Here are a few ways you can be praying RIGHT NOW in preparation for CWE to come!
We must get the foundation in before the first CWE team arrives April 5. We live in the back woods and it’s still winter, the window to get all this done is small, and relying on people to show when they are supposed to in these woods is tough — which allows for so much room for things to go wrong. As you might imagine, this keeps Marty awake at night!
Pray the footers get dug on schedule and company coming has no setbacks
Pray the stem wall gets built on time
Pray the plumber arrives when required for the rough in
Pray the building department comes and inspects as needed without delay
Pray the concrete foundation remains on schedule and pourable in good weather
We are cold a lot still in these mountains, and sitting with snow around us at the moment. God is in full control and this situation (once again) requires our full faith that God will see to these details. AND ALSO, we feel the pressure of the work getting done in time for CWE to arrive.
PRAY WITH US, WON’T YOU?!
DID WE MENTION HOW PUMPED WE ARE?!
