Summer 2024 Volunteers

We often consider our volunteers our superheroes because they come at just the right time to help lift the load we are heavy with. In summer, this often looks like people coming in for a week, staying in our Creekside Cottage, and serving in the kitchen or helping with grounds. Both are tiring, but both help us tremendously in the height of our ministry months. And this gives our volunteers a chance to see what camp is about first hand and be a part of adding to our culture of intentionally connecting and caring for those who’ve come to camp.

Here are some images of some of our summer volunteers - of course we don’t get everything documented, but sharing some faces with you is important to us!

The types of things we hear from our volunteers:

“Being able to be here away from my normal has been the most refreshing and life-giving thing. I’m so thankful you let me come and be part.”

“This place is special - you can feel God here. What you guys are doing to serve these teens is exactly what they need.”

“Seeing camp in action in real life is so much better than hearing about it and seeing pictures. There’s so much impact happening.”

“I loved getting to be a small part of what you all are doing this week. Thank you for letting me come. I definitely want to come back and do it again.”

TO GOD BE THE GLORY for the way He works in and through each of us to make his name known, to share His love with the world. Our volunteers truly put flesh to the term hands and feet of Jesus! Thank you to each of you who gave up a week to come be part of the work of Proclaiming Christ to teens through the ministry of Whisper Mountain Camp! May our God bless you tenfold!
